This wide array of paint brushes lives in a vase on my desk, some with stubborn paint still clinging to the bristles and handles, and a few still unopened from years of collecting. Each one has its own story, gathered from many different places throughout the years.
Description
I found this collection arranged haphazardly in a vase on my desk, bristles pointing in every direction, some stiff with dried paint, others unopened and unused. Over the years, I’ve acquired them from a variety of sources: craft stores, art classes, and the occasional gift, each brush carrying a memory of where it came from and what it helped me create.
Even though they’re not all in constant use, the brushes hold more meaning than their function alone suggests. Each mark of dried paint tells a story of experimentation, practice, and bursts of inspiration. The unopened brushes hint at future projects, while the well-used ones are reminders of past energy and effort. Together, they capture the ongoing, imperfect, and beautiful journey of creativity.
