I found these paint tubes gathered together in a bin, colors bright and inviting even after weeks of inactivity. I bought them for a painting class, imagining endless canvases full of expressive brushstrokes and color experiments. I actually used them quite a lot, watching as the colors mixed, bled, and layered into pieces I was proud of. Each tube tells a small story of afternoons spent painting, creative experiments, and that messy, beautiful part of making something by hand.

Recently, I haven’t painted much. My creativity has been at a low from trying to juggle a lot of life’s obstacles. The tubes sit as reminders of what I once loved to do. Even though they aren’t in constant use, they symbolize the energy, focus, and hoy that comes from making art. Each partially used tube carries memory of past creativity, waiting for the moment when motivation and creativity will strike me once again.
